During these past weeks of the beginning of the school year we read articles about the Mindset Theory. The Mindset Theory is a theory by Carol Dweck, this theory focuses on how there are 2 sets of thinking Fixed and Growth. Growth is when an individual does not care for their physical appearance and views challenges as a way to learn something new while in Fixed the individual sees challenges as a personal self image threat and avoids challenges. We made flip-books to represent each set of thinking. One to represent Fixed with the outer cover decorated (this represents how much a person with a fixed mindset thinks about their self image) and one to represent Growth with the outer cover wrinkled and smudged with paint (this represents how someone doesn't care about making mistakes or their self image and more about learning).
